Program Abstract:
The University of Georgia’s Digital Humanities Lab (DigiLab) and Ludwig Maximillian University’s ITG present a joint-symposium on Data Sustainability. This symposium features a series of lightening talks on data sustainability in the context of different projects and support mechanisms within each group for digital scholarship and research at UGA and LMU. Speakers include Keiko Bridwell, Bill Kretzschmar, Tobias Englmeier, Veronika Gacia, Christiane Bayer, Katherine Ireland, and Christian Riepl. We discuss several long-term projects like the Linguistic Atlas Project in addition to new datasets and work. Managing research data and long-term digital project solutions and questions are also discussed. We conclude with interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities with Digi and ITG.
